Sensational industrial metal and industrial hip hop artists Ministry and Death Grips are bringing their signature sounds to the Hollywood Palladium!
Ministry was formed in Chicago in 1981 by Al Jourgensen. The band's been through many line up changes over the years and it currently consists of Al (lead vocals, guitars, programming, production, and miscellaneous instruments), John Bechdel (keyboards), Sin Quirin (guitars), Cesar Soto (guitars), Jason Christopher (bass and backing vocals), and Thomas Holtgreve (drums). Their musical style is best described as a blend of industrial metal (a genre that draws from industrial dance music, thrash metal and hardcore punk, using repeating metal guitar riffs, sampling, synthesizer or sequencer lines, and distorted vocals) and thrash metal (an extreme subgenre of heavy metal music characterized by its fast tempo and overall aggression, frequent use of fast percussive beats and low register guitar riffs, overlaid with shredding style lead work, and lyrics often dealing with social issues and reproach for The Establishment). They've had a stellar career with 11 studio albums, 2 Grammy Award nominations for (Best Metal Performance), and their music has also been featured in the Academy Award winning 2009 film The Hurt Locker. Their latest album (AmeriKKKant) comes out in the fall of 2017 and will feature guest artists Burton C. Bell of Fear Factory, former N.W.A member Arabian Prince, DJ Swamp, and Lord of the Cello.
