Krewella, Illinois’ sensational electronic dance music artists are bringing their signature sounds to the Hollywood Palladium!
Krewella was formed in Northbrook (Illinois) in 2007 by songwriters and vocalists Jahan and Yasmine Yousaf along with producer Kris "Rain Man" Trindl. Their musical style is best described as a blend of electronic dance music, dance pop (a fusion of electronic dance music and pop music, with influences of disco music, post-disco, new wave, synthpop, electropop, and house), dubstep (a genre of electronic dance music that originated in England and features overwhelming bass lines, reverberant drum patterns, clipped samples, and occasional vocals), and dance rock (a genre – originating in the early 1980s, following the mainstream death of punk and disco – related to pop rock and post punk but with fewer rhythm and blues influences). They’ve had a stellar career with 1 studio album (which topped Billboards’ Dance/Electronic Albums chart), 3 extended plays, 12 singles and 10 music videos. They’ve also collaborated with Paul McCartney, Jon Bon Jovi, Sheryl Crow, Fergie, Colbie Caillat, Natasha Bedingfield, Leona Lewis, Sean Paul, Johnny Rzeznik, Angélique Kidjo, Kelsea Ballerini, Nicole Scherzinger, Christina Grimmie, Victoria Justice, and Q'orianka Kilcher. The group currently consists of Jahan (DJ, vocals, and songwriting), Yasmin (DJ, vocals, FX music controllers, and songwriting), and session/touring members Frank Zummo (drums) and Max Bernstein (guitar and synths).
