Fever Ray, Sweden's sensational electro pop artist is bringing her signature sounds to the Hollywood Palladium!
Fever Ray is the solo project of Swedish singer, songwriter, and record producer Karin Elisabeth Dreijer. Her musical style is best described as a blend of electro pop (a fusion of electronic music and pop music - with primary usage of synthesizers and various electronic and pop musical instruments - often with simple, catchy hooks and simple dance beats, but differing from those of electronic dance music genres in that songwriting is emphasized over simple danceability), ambient (a style of gentle, largely electronic instrumental music with no persistent beat, used to create or enhance a mood or atmosphere), trip hop (a sub genre of electronic music that originated in the early 1990s in the United Kingdom, as an experimental variant of breakbeat), and experimental (a genre defined broadly by exploratory sensibilites radically opposed to, and questioning of, institutionalized compositional, performing, and aesthetic conventions in music). She’s had a stellar career with 2 studio albums, 1 live album, 7 singles, 8 music videos, and she's collaborated with many renowned bands and artists such as Mazarine Street, The Bear Quartet, Robot, Silverbullit, Yvonne, Deus, First Floor Power, Röyksopp, and Shinedoe. Her work has also been featured on the soundtrack of the 2011 romance/horror film Red Riding Hood.
