Comedian Dave Chappelle and singer John Mayer are bringing their brand new show to the Hollywood Palladium!
David Khari Webber “Dave” Chappelle was born in Washington D.C. in 1973 and is a stand-up comedian, screenwriter, producer, and actor. He studied theatre arts at Washington's Duke Ellington School of the Arts and was inspired to be a comedian by Lenny Bruce, George Carlin, Richard Pryor, Robin Williams, and Eddie Murphy. He moved to New York City to pursue a career in comedy and performed at Harlem's Apollo Theater’s infamous Amateur Night. He was booed off stage but the experience only strengthened his resolve to become a comedian. In 1993 he starred in the film Robin Hood: Men in Tights after which he landed major supporting roles in box office hits such as The Nutty Professor, Con Air, and Blue Streak. He also co-wrote the 1998 comedy Half Baked (in which he also had the lead role) and the film has become a cult stoner classic. In 2003 Dave debuted his own weekly sketch comedy show on Comedy Central (Chappelle's Show) that would become his trademark. It still runs on TV networks around the world and Dave’s been praised by fellow comedians for his work. Comedian Kevin Hart regards Dave as the greatest comedian of all time and Charlie Sheen has admitted he laughed so hard while watching a Chappelle's Show episode that he ruptured his hernia.
Don’t miss your chance to see Dave and John in their brand new show!
